About us

At Reading Services of Arkansas, we are dedicated to helping children overcome reading challenges and achieve lasting literacy success. Our welcoming and holistic approach combines expert knowledge in the school and home-based preventative structures and systems, reading intervention, curriculum support, testing, and a sensitivity to understanding each child's, family's, and school's unique needs.

Meet Brittney Mills

Brittney Mills, executive director and founder of Reading Services of Arkansas, has extensive experience in reading intervention, assessment, and school leadership. Her background includes 11 successful years of practical classroom teaching and school leadership, giving her firsthand insight into the challenges teachers and families face. As a Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP), Brittney is skilled in the latest Orton-Gillingham Multisensory Structured Language instruction and assessments. Brittney's expertise allows her to chart a custom path for each child’s and school's reading journey based on their needs, support system, and any unique barriers to their learning. No two children, families, or schools are exactly alike, and their literacy plans must accommodate their differences. She is an approved Arkansas Learns provider. She is the Teacher in Residence for AR Kids Read.

Brittney's hands-on, frontline experience in education gives her an understanding of the real struggles even excellent teachers and families face. She knows the best practices of school literacy processes and laws and the complexities of navigating these systems. As a natural community collaborator, she actively supports schools that want to create welcoming and inclusive environments for children with reading difficulties. She partners with schools to design realistic and sustainable individualized systems tailored to their unique culture and purpose.

Through personalized intervention plans, assessments, and collaborative partnerships with parents and teachers, Brittney is committed to improving literacy outcomes for children across Arkansas.

Whether you are a parent seeking help for your child or a school looking to strengthen its literacy support systems, Reading Services of Arkansas is here to guide you.
